Beef Liver

Freeze-dried grass-fed liver · 180 capsules

€39.00EUR · INC. VAT

Organ meat used to be the most valuable part of the animal. Every traditional cuisine in the Mediterranean built dishes around liver, and it was eaten weekly — not as a delicacy but as ordinary food. Somewhere in the last three generations it fell off the plate, and with it went the densest naturally occurring source of several nutrients in the human diet. Muscle meat, which is what most people now eat almost exclusively, is a different food nutritionally: it is protein and not much else. This is not a supplement in the usual sense. It is not a molecule synthesised in a factory and dosed at 4000% of what a body can use. It is a food you probably are not eating any more, in a form you will actually take.

Β'  ·  WHAT'S INSIDE

Vitamin B12 · 8.0 µg (320% NRV)

Per 6-capsule daily dose. Liver is the densest natural source there is.

Copper · 1.32 mg (132% NRV)

The mineral almost nobody supplements and almost nobody eats enough of.

Vitamin A · 671 µg (84% NRV)

As retinol — the form the body uses directly, not beta-carotene.

Folate · 39 µg (20% NRV)

Vitamin B9, and the reason a lot of people come looking for liver in the first place. Folate is the form that occurs in food; folic acid is the synthetic version used to fortify flour and fill most supplements. Liver is among the densest natural sources there is. Folate contributes to normal blood formation, to normal amino acid synthesis and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Riboflavin · 0.37 mg (27% NRV)

Vitamin B2. Contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the maintenance of normal skin.

Pantothenic acid · 0.97 mg (16% NRV)

Vitamin B5. Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to normal mental performance.

Γ' · HOW TO USE

6 capsules per day with a meal. Fat helps with the fat-soluble vitamins, so take them with food rather than on an empty stomach. If you are not used to organ meat, start with three for the first week. One 180-capsule bottle is a 30-day supply.

Δ' · INGREDIENTS

Freeze-dried grass-fed Greek beef liver (4,500 mg per serving, equivalent to 13,500 mg raw). Bovine gelatin capsule. Nothing else.

Ε' · Who should be careful

Not recommended during pregnancy or if you are planning a pregnancy: liver is high in preformed vitamin A. Speak to your doctor first if you have a diagnosed iron storage condition. Organ meats are high in purines, so this may not suit you if you have gout. If you already take a multivitamin or vitamin A, check the totals.

“I take them every morning with breakfast. What I noticed after a few weeks is that I have more energy through the day.”
